Currently I am the Chairman of the Isle of Man Gymnastics Association. Furthermore I am a Mens Artistic Coach who has coached fro the past 10 years at both our main Gymnastics Clubs, and have been involved with Gymnastics for around 12 years. I represent Gymnastics on the Commonwealth, Youth Commonwealth and Island Games committees. It will be a great honour to be part of the organising team for the Youth Commonwealth Games in 2011
Venue
The venue for the Mens Gymnastics events will be the National Sports Centre (NSC), based approximately 1.5 miles (2.4km) from the Games Village on Douglas Promenade and being the main sporting centre for the Games with Athletics, Badminton, Rugby 7’s and Swimming also taking place on the same site. This £20 million multipurpose facility is truly the sporting centre of the Island. In September, 1991 the Athletics Stadium was opened by Steve Ovett, the former British and Olympic Champion. In 1998 the Pools, main Sports Hall and Health & Fitness Suite were opened. The development was completed by the opening of an Indoor Bowls Hall, a secondary Sports Hall and six Squash Courts in late 2000.
The Venue for the Mens Gymnastics will be the Ellan Vannin Gymnastics Club.
