The latest partner to join is Tower Insurance, who have committed a £20,000 contribution between now and the start of the Games, in September 2011.
David Stacey, Managing Director of the Tower said “we have been strong supporters of many sports on the Island and this event is a wonderful opportunity for the whole community to be involved and ‘showcase’ the island to 71 other commonwealth nations from around the world”.
Tower Insurance joins the other partners in making sure the games will be an enormous success. Geoff Karran, Chairman of the 2011 organising Committee said “We are delighted to have such a prestigious Manx Company as Tower Insurance as one of our sponsorship partners. Their involvement is a great boost for us and we look forward to working with them over the next two and a half years”
Hundreds of young athletes will take part in seven sports , and with the decision of the Commonwealth Games Federation to assist nations with travel to the Island it will ensure all the eyes of the Commonwealth nations will be on the Isle of Man in 2011.
The organising committee are seeking a partnership with 10 major sponsors to help ensure the success of the Games, and Tower Insurance are the 3rd to sign up to date.
