SES To Sponsor The Games

Geoff Karran Chairman of the Committee stated “With a very tight budget set for the Games we have always had various projects that were desirable if funding for them could be found. One of these was to have Greenlight Television provide a live feed in the pool to show the swimming events, not only on a screen within the pool area but also onto screens in the atrium thus enabling more and more people to watch these events. The funding provided by SES makes this possible and it is marvellous to have such a large International Company on board with us.”
Mark Guthrie the Managing Director of SES Satellite Leasing stated “We are delighted to be involved in this prestigious event for the Island and in particular to be associated with the swimming events. The atmosphere at swimming competitions is very special and now with live screening this is definitely going to be one place where people should try and acquire a ticket to watch. We hope the games are a great success.”
