The 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games Organising Committee is delighted to welcome the support of Beautiful Blooms of Ballasalla who will provide each of the medal winners (around 600) with a specially designed floral gift at the Games.

Beautiful Blooms Ltd. of Ballasalla was started in 2004 by husband and wife team Colin and Della Newstead. The business rapidly grew to become possibly the foremost florists on the Isle of Man and now employs a comprehensive team of trained personnel.  The company specialises in unusual and stylish presentations which have quickly proved attractive to both corporate and domestic clients alike. The company’s portfolio includes many prestigious occasions.  As well as working on film sets, they have often provided floral displays and gifts for visiting celebrities and dignitaries - even royalty. The company also offers an office plant rental service.  Further details are available at www.BeautifulBloomsIOM.com

Managing Director Colin Newstead said; ‘Being selected as official florists to the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games is extremely exciting for us. The Games are a very high profile event and a tremendous boost for the island. We are all delighted at having the opportunity to be part of the occasion and very much look forward to performing our role.”

The Games will take place between 7th and 13th September 2011 when athletes, officials, spectators and guests will arrive on the island from the 71 nations of the Commonwealth.

Geoff Karran, CYG20111 Chairman and Games Director said “I am delighted with the involvement of Beautiful Blooms and thank them for their kind offer.  A floral gift is a very traditional way in which to reward sports persons and the design created by Beautiful Blooms for CYG2011 certainly has the ‘wow’ factor”.
