2011 Commonwealth Youth Games Advertising Campaign Begins’

As part of their marketing campaign ‘The Games Are Coming’ the Organising Committee of the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games are pictured with the CYG2011 bus advert, part of a wider campaign to bring awareness of the event to the people of the island.
The 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games will take place from 7th to 13th September, when 1000 athletes from 71 nations of the Commonwealth arrive on the island to compete in 7 sports.
Mr Geoff Karran, Chairman and Games Director said “The hospitality of the people of the island, as proven many times, is second to none. Already through our CYG2011 Volunteer Programme we have had an excellent response from those who wish to be part of this prestigious event and with this marketing campaign we hope to improve on those numbers.”
